SCORM publication
Courses published with Tactic! Editor meet SCORM
(Sharable Content Object Reference Model) standards
to enable the interconnection between courses and
the different learning management systems (LMS/LCMS)
and monitor the learners’ training progress.
Tactic! Editor 7.0 has been tested and complies with
SCORM 1.2 as well as with the standard’s latest
version: SCORM 1.3 (2004).
SCORM is a set of standards developed by ADL (Advanced
Distributed Learning). ADL brings together representatives
from all the other standardization organisms (including
those from AICC), which gives it an increased credibility
in the development of the SCORM standard.
The SCORM standard is the weighting measure for course
and e-learning platforms design (LMS).
It’s a reference model, straight from the U.S.
Department of Defence, which defines a training “content
model” distributed by the Internet.
This set of specifications allows the reuse of Web-training
content through different environments and products
if the platform supports the SCORM format.
